This is what's in store for the 2006 season!!!! As usual we will be having our fair share of Karaoke nights, dances, bingo, hayrides and kids fun. The schedule could change so we would ask that you check back regularly for any updates.

   May 12- 14 -  Come and join us for our Mother's Day and seasonal opening weekend. A Saturday night wine and cheese with late night bingo will be in store. We'll also be having a Sunday morning brunch, where the dads will be doing the cooking, .  Mom's eat for free with a paying family member.                     

 

May 19 - 22 - A smorgasbord of activities in store for our first long weekend of the season. A 3 on 3 hockey tournament for kids of all ages to salute the NHL playoffs (bring your sticks) , pot luck desert, Arcade fun and Karaoke are all planned for this weekend.
  May 26 - 28 NASCAR WEEKEND. Come and join us for a fun filled weekend of racing activities. Radio controlled car racing (don't forget to bring yours), a race around the park and a trip to the go-kart track are in store for this weekend. We'll be watching the race from Lowe's Motor Speedway on Sunday afternoon in the Rec Hall. It's also just not summer without garage sales, so we thought we'd bring the garage sales to us. Set up your own 'PIT'  of items to sell  at your campsite on Saturday morning and then stroll around the campground to see what other treasures you can find.    

June 2- 4 - We're off to a fishing derby!!! We'll all be heading off on Saturday to some of the local hot spots for some angling pleasure straight off shore. Prizes for different categories....but not for the one that got away. Don't forget to bring your equipment.  (Ontario law requires individuals over 18 to have a fishing license..one day licenses can be purchased locally for $10)

June 9 -11 - Fifty's Rock'n'Roll Weekend. This weekend will be dedicated to the sounds of the 50's with a rock'n'roll sock hop topping off the weekend and giving everyone a chance to strut their stuff.  Other festivities including a horse shoe tournament and adult treasure hunt will also be on the agenda.

June 16 -18 - Fathers Day weekend - FORE!!! Our 3rd Maplewood Acres golf tournament will be held at the Heritage Golf and Country Club in  Lancaster on Saturday, June 17th. A Vegas (best ball) format will allow everyone from the novice to the seasoned duffer to have a great time. Cost for golfers is approximately $45 including green fees, electric cart and a hamburger/hot dog BBQ back at the campground. For those just wanting to take part in the BBQ the cost will be $5.  GOLFERS!!!! WE NEED TO ADVISE THE COURSE OF THE NUMBER OF FOURSOMES 2 WEEKS BEFORE SO WE NEED YOUR CONFIRMATION BY MAY 28th AT THE LATEST. Evening activities are in store.

A Father's Day breakfast (Dads eat for free with a paying family member) will be held on Sunday morning.

June 22 - 25- St Jean Baptiste weekend for our Quebec neighbors and it's "School's out" at Maplewood Acres.  A teen dance for the younger crowd and a wine and cheese potluck for the parents is on the agenda for Friday night. On Saturday night, back by popular demand, Debbie and Doreen will be cooking up a fabulous batch of spaghetti and meat sauce ($) to satisfy your taste buds.

   June 30 - July 3 -  It's both Canada's and the USA's birthdays this weekend so we decided we would celebrate everyone who will be having a birthday in 2006. There will be lots of birthday activities and of course a birthday cake. Get ready to decorate your bikes, strollers and any other thing that you would like to showcase in our Canada Day parade. We'll all be dancing and tapping our feet to the sounds of the various groups who will be participating in our first "BAND WEEKEND" which is being held in support of a local charity. FIREWORKS ON SATURDAY NIGHT!!!

July 7 - 9 It's our pool/beach party weekend!!! Let's bring on the summer fun with our Maplewood Acres beachless party. Many poolside activities and a volleyball tournament are in store throughout the day. On Saturday night be sure to join us for a moonlit hayride and evening poolside hotdog BBQ ($) party and dance.

July 14 - 16 - Games and gameshow weekend! Back by popular demand... On Saturday night come and join us in the Rec Hall to play some of your favorite TV game show's like family feud , and wheel of fortune. A cribbage tournament and other gaming activities are also planned for this weekend.

July 21 -23 - Ho Ho Ho is that Santa?? You guessed it, old Saint Nick will be making a pit stop at Maplewood Acres again this year during his summer vacation.  A candy cane hunt, caroling hayride, and site decorating are all part of our plans for our Christmas in July weekend. PARENTS.....Don't forget to bring along a gift for your little ones as Santa's workshop is closed for the summer.
July 28 - 30 - HAPPY NEW YEAR.... What follows Christmas in July????   You guessed it again,  New Years in July.  Some of the activities in store for this weekend are:  A family friendly football game, followed by an Ice cream social ($),  Karaoke New Year's Eve dance (BYOBubbly),  and bingo are also on this weekend's schedule.

Aug 4 - 7 - It's Desert Lovers Weekend which will be highlighted by a Pot Luck Desert on Saturday evening in the Rec Hall . A candy treasure hunt , ice cream social ($), bingo, hayrides and movies in the park will all be in store this weekend. 

Aug 11 - 13 - A corn roast  is in store for Saturday night followed by a dance with our favourite DJs Rockin "Rocky and Debbie". . As usual our regular activities of Bingo and a hayride will be on tap.

Aug 18- 20- Yeeha! It's our western weekend. Be sure to join us for what promises to be a fun filled weekend. Saturday night will be highlighted by a return visit from our favorite country band "SOUTHWIND" and our ever popular mechoui dinner ($). A horseshoe tournament and possibly a stage coach attack (this means don't forget your water guns) where the good guys will surely take care of the bad guys. We'll be organizing a visit to one of our local paintball  establishments on Sunday ($), so don't forget to sign up early as we will need to reserve at least 2 weeks in advance

Aug 25 - 27 - A lazy weekend around the campground (for some of us) as we start to get ready for our Halloween Fest weekend. Our regular activities of bingo and hayrides will still be on tap.

Sept 1 - 4 - Labour Day Weekend, the last long weekend of the summer. Ghosts, goblins and ghouls abound during our Halloween Fest weekend. "Trick or treating" and haunted house adventures, for those who dare, will prove to chill your bones. Please bring your decorations for the site decorating extravaganza and don't forget to dress up for the best costume contest and parade. Fireworks by the pyrotechnical team of Billy and Yves will also be on the agenda for the weekend.

Sept 8 - 10 - Join us on Saturday for a "Casino Outing" to the Akwesasne Mohawk Casino.  We'll be topping off the evenings activities with a late night bingo extravaganza.

Sept 15 -17 - A quiet weekend at the campground so we thought we would celebrate with a pot luck wine and cheese on Saturday night.. The always popular bingo will still form part of the activities and we'll probably pull out the old hayride for a spin around the park. Come on out and enjoy the fall foliage for what is one of the few remaining weekends of the 2006 season.

Sept 22 - 24 -  Oktoberfest weekend.  In the tradition of old Munich, come join us for a potluck sausage and beer  in our biergarten. The last weekend for our seasonal campers (don't forget you're still always welcome back until our official close).

Sept 29 - Oct 1  -  Close-up weekend at Maplewood Acres. Come out and join us for one final night around the campfire to share the memories of the season.
